Role Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring efficient warehouse operations, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role involves supervising the receiving, storage, and issuance of materials, coordinating with the logistics team, and liaising with suppliers.
In This Role You Will
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels
- Conduct regular audits to reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Ensure adequate stock levels for ongoing projects and replenish inventory as needed.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and safe operation.
- Supervise the receiving, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment.
- Implement and enforce safety and security measures to protect warehouse operations and inventory.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to prioritize and fulfill internal and project-related material requests.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any discrepancies in deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding inventory status, stock availability, and any issues affecting operations.
- Inspect incoming materials and equipment for quality and compliance with specifications.
- Ensure outgoing materials are accurately picked, packed, and shipped according to project requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to inventory records, purchase orders, and material receipts.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse operations as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within warehouse operations.
- Implement best practices in inventory management and warehouse organization to optimize space and workflow.
- Enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a culture of safety among warehouse staff.
- Other tasks requested from your supervisor.
To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
