WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Warehouse Assistant Manager to join the dynamic team at Pantech Steel Industries Sdn Bhd, based in Meru Selangor. As a full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations and ensuring the smooth running of our distribution center.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of the warehouse team, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support.
• Implementing and maintaining efficient inventory management systems to optimize storage and retrieval processes.
• Overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Analyzing data and generating reports to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiencies.
• Collaborating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Developing and enforcing warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Actively participating in the continuous improvement of warehouse operations.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a warehouse management role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and inventory control software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the warehousing environment.
