Warehouse Assistant Responsibilities

1. Assist with receiving, loading, counting, and stocking physical inventory in the warehouse;
2. Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, and inventory management;
3. Pick and fill orders from stock;
4. Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customer expectations and business timelines;
5. Inspect items to ensure they are not damaged or faulty and adjust inventory accordingly;
6. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, inventory space, and work stations neat; sweep and vacuum;
7. Communicate and collaborate with other team members;
8. Perform stock takes bi-monthly on all products in the warehouse;
9. Communicate customer issues with the relevant branch manager and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints;
10. Communicate all operating policies and/or issues to management;
11. Work closely with the Company’s employees to perform analysis of the Company’s inventory and ensure all inventory is used effectively;
12. Assist with ad-hoc tasks and other office duties when required.
