Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, storage, and inventory management.
2. Ensure optimal warehouse layout, racking, and storage solutions for efficient space utilization.
3. Implement best practices for stock control, order fulfilment, and dispatch to minimize shrinkage and damages.
4. Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with warehouse health and safety regulations.
5. Monitor and carry out all distribution functions of goods for the company.
6. Work together with Logistics Executive to plan and coordinate transportation and distribution of goods as per orders received from the Sales department based on estimated production completion dates given from the Planning department to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
7. Optimize delivery routes, fleet management, and carrier selection to reduce costs and enhance service levels.
8. Ensure Logistics Executive verifies all customer orders shipping instructions and production orders received.
9. Continuously review freight costs and transportation rates to keep costs down where possible and prepare for all kinds of pre-declaration documents.
10. Coordinate with 3rd party transporters and ensure all arrangements meet loading and shipment dates.
11. Verify and approve all logistics-related billing.
12. Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
13. Plan and control warehouse & logistics budget.
14. Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics, such as on-time deliveries and transportation costs.
15. Ensure accurate inventory levels through regular stock audits and reconciliation.
16. Develop and implement inventory control policies to reduce stock discrepancies and obsolescence.
17. Oversee receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations.
18. Implement operational policies and procedures.
19. Maintain SOP procedures for all activities under the warehouse and Logistics department.
20. Maintain documentation and keep accurate records of warehouse & logistics activities.
21. Assist with deliveries where required.
22. Maintain awareness and knowledge of the condition and location of fleet vehicles.
23. Supervise, train, and develop warehouse and logistics staff, ensuring high performance and productivity.
24. Implement performance management processes and provide coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
25. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
26. Liaise with government sectors related to distribution operations such as Customs, MIDA, KPDNHEP, Veterinary Department, Health Department, MITI, MPOB, and Lembaga KOKO to resolve issues.
27. Liaise with Customs, MIDA regarding Machinery exemption Spare Parts requests by users such as Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities departments.
28. Apply for Health Certificates via the Health Department, submit forms, and arrange for inspector officers for sample inspections at the factory.
29. Apply for Veterinary Certificates and liaise with Veterinary Doctors to resolve issues related to shipment arrangements.
30. Take ownership and responsibility for food safety and its non-compliance challenges.

Requirements:

1. At least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Business, or a related field is required.
2. At least 10 years of experience in warehouse & logistics (Import & Export) or any related field.
3. Demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams and fostering a positive work environment.
4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
