Group Sustainability Framework - Strategy and Project Management
Formulate the Group’s Sustainability Framework, commitment and sustainability material matters encompassing Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)
Drive action plans with defined objectives, targets and responsibilities to support the Group’s Sustainability Framework, commitments and material matters – in collaboration with business/functional units (SFG/SBG)
Monitor progress of sustainability objectives, target and performance
Manage communication and management of quarterly updates to the Group Management Committee (GMC) and half-yearly updates to RHB Bank Board of Directors (BOD) on sustainability updates and the progress of sustainability-related action plans
Manage communication and management of other sustainability-related progress, achievements or updates to other Board or Management Committees upon request
Drive the Sustainability Champion and manage the Sustainability Working Groups: Sustainability Working Group – Pillar 1 (SWG1) and Sustainability Working Group – Pillar 2 and Pillar 3 (SWG2)
Supervise and manage current sustainability practices and performance of ESG accolades (ratings and assessments) and identify points where practices could be improved and disclosed
Stakeholder Engagement & Public Disclosure
Collaborate with Sustainability Champions and middle level business/functional units (SFG/SBG) in developing the business case to address and identify sustainability initiatives in line with the Group’s Sustainability Framework
Serve as the “go to” person on sustainability matters for both internal (SFG/SBG) and external stakeholders and as the internal point of contact for any queries or advice required on sustainability matters
Grow and maintain a network of contacts, and actively seek to build strategic alliances and partnerships in order to add value to RHB’s sustainability business case
Formulate and manage external communication plan to drive external visibility on the Group’s sustainability effort and promote awareness of sustainability initiatives
Manage the development and delivery of the Group's annual sustainability report and/or external public disclosure (i.e. website, public documents)
Employee Communications and Awareness Building
Manage internal sustainability culture building, internal communication plan to publicise the Group’s sustainability effort and promote awareness of sustainability initiatives
Coordinate emerging trends, issues and programmes on sustainability for action / notation – inform network of Sustainability Champions / Group
Manage initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability through on-going knowledge sharing and education
Team Management and Administration
Manage the mentoring, coaching and development of team members within SM and where necessary, GCC as a whole
Manage the overall governance (internal policies, manuals etc) and administration (business plan, budgets etc) for Sustainability Management unit
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in relevant field (e.g. Environmental Management, Sustainability Development) is an added advantage
Certification – Sustainability (e.g. Sustainability Reporting, GRI, FSA) as an added advantage
Master Degree in Sustainability as an added advantage
Minimum 5-7 years’ working experience mainly in sustainability management
Excellent communication skill: Written, Verbal and Presentation Skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skill
Ability to interact in a professional manner with both external & internal parties
