Job Summary:
A Project Advisory & Finance will play a significant role in providing strategic guidance, analysis, and recommendations to clients on various financial transactions and projects. The primary goal is to help clients make informed decisions that align with their financial objectives and maximize value. It is also a crucial role in facilitating and managing complex financial transactions within Investment Banking.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project feasibility and structuring - Define market and business needs, assess project cash flow, review risk allocation and funding strategy and investment returns.
- Financial modelling and analysis - Design, build and review financial models that are robust and flexible with insightful, fact-based outputs to help our clients understand the impact of different financial or commercial assumptions on their cash position, profit, tax or financing structure.
- Bid structuring - Providing bid structuring advice for large scale project proposals.
- Fundraising advice - As an independent advisor, focus on identifying and structuring the best source of finance for our clients.
- Strategy – assist to develop strategy for growth driven by industry and business insights that include business and operating model recommendations.
- Sustainability – assist to shape and develop authentic sustainability and climate policies, roadmaps and practices including operationalization within organization and industry and leverage market opportunities.
- Implementation model - Detailed design and implementation support required in strategy and transformation work for the infrastructure sector.
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):
- Advising clients on potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
- Conducting financial analyses, due diligence, and valuation assessments to determine the feasibility and financial implications of proposed transactions.
- Corporate Finance:
- Assisting clients in raising capital through debt or equity issuances.
- Providing financial structuring advice for optimal capitalization and financing strategies.
- Debt Market Structuring and Execution:
- Work closely with Debt Capital Markets team and clients to structure debt transactions in a way that aligns with their financial goals and objectives as part of deal structuring.
- Provide support in the execution phase of debt transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing the terms of the deal.
- Financial Modeling:
- Developing and maintaining complex financial models to assess the impact of various scenarios on investment decisions.
- Analyzing financial statements, cash flows, and other relevant data to support strategic planning.
- Strategic Advisory:
- Identifying growth opportunities and potential risks to assist clients in making well-informed decisions.
- Transaction Structuring:
- Assist to structure financial transactions to optimize tax efficiency, risk management, and overall deal economics.
- Collaborating with legal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients by understanding their business goals and providing tailored advisory services.
- Regularly updating clients on market trends, industry insights, and potential opportunities or challenges.
- Market Research:
- Staying abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes.
- Utilizing market research to provide clients with strategic insights and recommendations.
Project Advisory teams in investment banking are critical in navigating the complexities of financial transactions, providing expert advice, and helping clients achieve their strategic objectives while maximizing shareholder value.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience at an established financial institution or accounting firm, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting progressive performance targets.
- Sound understanding of regulations, and deep industry and market knowledge with a proven record of translating this into effective business strategies to grow the business.
- Extensive business network and well-regarded in the financial services or consultancy community domestically.
- Strong leadership skills in building a high-performing organization and collaborative culture.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders and employees.
- Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from diverse cultures.
