We are seeking a Vice President, Risk Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide risk engineering consulting services to clients, conducting site visits, identifying risks, and developing detailed evaluation reports. They will work closely with the broking and servicing team to manage client needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk assessments at client locations, identifying risk characteristics, safety measures, and areas for improvement.
• Develop high-quality underwriting and risk engineering reports for clients and markets.
• Investigate past failures/losses to understand risk management measures and prevent similar recurrences.
• Identify opportunities for risk improvement and share best practices with clients to enhance their risk profile.
• Travel within Malaysia to perform risk consulting services for various types of occupancies.
• Foster strong interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders, including clients, insurers, and local authorities.
• Provide regular updates to brokers on survey requests and work collaboratively to support client needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in inspecting, engineering, quality control, or manufacturing, with design and installation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of PIAM fire protection and loss prevention requirements, as well as Malaysian and NFPA fire protection standards.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Malay.
