Trainer

Job Description Summary

Refer to JD-OPS-038. The Training Specialist will report to the Manufacturing Training Unit Manager and will be responsible for helping associates in the Manufacturing division succeed in manufacturing. They will work with cross-functional departments in planning, administering, and implementing technical and development training programs for Direct Labour Manufacturing employees, particularly in job level category JG1 and JG2.

Job Description

1. Manage training and development of Direct Labour employees.
2. Support to continuously improve standardized work programs throughout the plant.
3. Organize the training/on-the-job training for new Manufacturing employees to enable accurate job performance.
4. Ensure proper administration and filing of training documentation for all Operation areas, such as On-Job Training modules, Cross-Training modules, Periodic Training, Product Knowledge, and Defect Awareness.
5. Establish an approach and methodology to continually improve the effectiveness of Manufacturing training in the plant.
6. Conduct needs assessment and analysis and propose training recommendations to address gaps identified from cross-functional quality processes.
