Trainee PGT Scientist

To be systematically acquiring and demonstrating the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out all laboratory protocols in:

1. Research and amplification optimization on gene of interest.
2. Screening on patient's sample.
3. Keeping accurate records of all procedures and all specimens.
4. Upkeeping the PGT laboratories and equipment within it.
5. Chance to learn on embryologist work.
6. Responsible for the upkeep of data, result reporting and other administrative tasks.
7. Ensuring high standard operating protocol is adhered to.
8. Ability to organize and carry out research.
9. Participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities of the centre as the need arises.
10. In-charge or assist in certain project/s as directed by the Scientific Director or Management.
11. Assisting fellow colleagues and performing any other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or management.

Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Bio Medical Science or Molecular Biology & Genetics or BioTechnology (Min CGPA: 3.00) or equivalent, and preferably with knowledge in Bioinformatics.
2. Fresh graduates from related fields are encouraged to apply.
3. Required language(s): English & Chinese.
4. Competent in DNA extraction, pipetting skills, PCR, and relevant molecular techniques.
5. Consistency and accuracy.
6. Sensitive to the risk of contamination.
7. Meticulous, neat, and detail-oriented.
8. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
9. Expected to work during weekends and holidays, compensated with overtime pay or time off.
