What will I be doing?

As the Kitchen Trainee, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Assist first class Chefs to provide food to guests and staff in an efficient and cost-effective manner, in accordance with standard recipes and food hygiene standards.
  2. Provide support in production and kitchen operation to ensure efficient service.
  3. Participate in the process of service production in the morning restaurant.
  4. Follow up on cleaning of the kitchen areas within your responsibility.
  5. Respond to each guest request to the satisfaction of the guest.
  6. Embrace active learning and appropriate change.
  7. Maintain a professional and positive attitude towards colleagues and supervisors, acting in accordance with hotel rules and employee handbook to ensure the department is well run.
  8. Actively participate in all kitchen and hotel training.
  9. Understand, practice and promote the team's working methods at all times to achieve the mission, objectives and the overall standards of the department.
  10. A clear understanding of the hotel's fire and life safety / emergency procedures.
  11. Master the use of all electrical equipment in the kitchen and observe how to handle them safely and carefully.
  12. Adopt the hotel's safety policy.
  13. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

A Kitchen Trainee serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  1. High school degree or above.
  2. Familiar with basic catering English vocabulary.
  3. Ability to complete tasks on time according to priorities.
  4. Possess a proactive learning attitude, able to keep calm during challenging situations and complete all work assigned.
  5. Strong knowledge of Chinese and Western cuisine and can apply it to the job with high efficiency and high quality.
  6. Have a health certificate.
  7. Knowledge of food safety systems.
