Job Responsibilities
In-Store Promotional Campaigns
Develop and execute in-store promotions, sales events, and seasonal campaigns to boost foot traffic and drive sales.
Coordinate and manage promotional activities, including product launches, sales events, discount offers, and customer loyalty programs.
Ensure that promotions are aligned with overall brand strategy and corporate marketing initiatives.
Frequent visits to retail locations for hands-on execution and monitoring of campaigns.
Strategic Partnership Development
Research and identify potential partners (brands, local businesses, influencers, etc.) that align with the stores target audience and brand values.
Negotiate partnership terms, including co-branding opportunities, joint events, product collaborations, or influencer endorsements.
Design joint campaigns with partners, utilizing both in-store and digital marketing channels to drive customer engagement.
Customer Engagement & Experience
Develop strategies to engage customers and create memorable in-store experiences (e.g., product demonstrations, sampling, or exclusive in-store events).
Ensure promotional activities are customer-centric and enhance the overall shopping experience.
Sales & Foot Traffic Analysis
Monitor and analyze sales performance, foot traffic, and the success of in-store promotions using KPIs and sales data.
Provide regular reports to senior management, including recommendations for improvements based on data-driven insights.
Collaboration with Store Teams
Work closely with store managers, sales teams, and staff to ensure smooth execution of promotional activities and campaigns.
Train and brief store teams on new promotions, ensuring they understand the objectives and are equipped to engage customers effectively.
Collaborate with the store operations team to optimize store layout and flow during promotional periods.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination
Work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure that promotional strategies are aligned and executed consistently across all channels.
Collaborate with the product development or sourcing teams to ensure availability of promotional items and stock levels.
Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for promotional materials, POS displays, and other marketing collateral.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
Liaise with external suppliers and vendors to source promotional materials, point-of-sale (POS) displays, and other necessary items.
Negotiate and coordinate promotional support from external partners when necessary (e.g., sampling, product demonstrations, or giveaways).
Budget Management
Oversee the promotional budget, ensuring that activities are cost-effective and provide a measurable return on investment (ROI).
Monitor and manage spending within the allocated budget for each promotional campaign.
Market Research and Trend Monitoring
Stay updated on current retail trends, competitor promotions, and customer preferences to inform the development of new in-store promotional strategies.
Conduct market research to understand customer needs and desires, ensuring that promotions remain relevant and attractive.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Retail Management or a related field.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in retail marketing, promotions, or event management, or a related role, preferably within the convenience store or retail industry.
Strong understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, and in-store marketing best practices with the ability to drive sales.
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, store operations, and external vendors.
Creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a strong focus on customer engagement.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), knowledge of retail analytics tools is a plus.
