- Serve as the primary contact for brand principals in West Malaysia concerning East Malaysia’s market performance.
- Collaborate with principals to align trade marketing plans with market needs and brand objectives.
- Provide regular insights and updates on sales performance, market trends, and opportunities.
- Develop and execute trade marketing plans for house and agency brands, tailored to East Malaysia’s unique dynamics.
- Plan and manage in-store promotions, merchandising efforts, and trade activations to enhance brand visibility.
- Lead the organization of local events, including festive campaigns, to drive consumer engagement and sales growth.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Represent East Malaysia in demand planning and forecasting discussions with the HQ planning team.
- Collaborate with sales, warehouse, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasts and inventory management.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional impacts to optimize forecasting accuracy.
- Work with sales teams to expand distribution in GT, MT, HORECA, and emerging channels like tourism and non-trade.
- Identify and penetrate white-space opportunities in secondary cities and underdeveloped market segments.
- Tailor trade marketing strategies to the unique needs of different channels, ensuring maximum impact.
Business Development
- Identify, attract, and pitch new agency opportunities to expand YLT’s portfolio in East Malaysia.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure operational readiness for onboarding new brands or businesses.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with principals and key stakeholders to secure long-term partnerships.
Performance Tracking & Insights
- Monitor and analyze the performance of trade marketing campaigns, business development efforts, and demand plans.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve future strategies and execution.
- Prepare regular reports for the Regional Manager and principals, showcasing achievements and opportunities.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Demand Forecast Accuracy: Alignment of forecasts with actual market demand, minimizing stock-outs and overstock.
- Trade Marketing ROI: Effectiveness and impact of campaigns and local activities.
- Principal Satisfaction: Alignment with expectations and timely execution of agreed initiatives.
- Market Expansion: Successful penetration into white spaces and secondary cities.
- Business Development: Securing new partnerships and incremental revenue growth.
- Event Execution: Success of local events and festive campaigns in driving sales and brand engagement.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, sales, business development, or demand planning within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record in managing principal relationships and planning effective trade activities.
- Experience in demand forecasting and collaboration with supply chain or planning teams.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration.

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills for managing principals and stakeholders.
