Textile Designer

The Textile Designer will create unique and high-quality designs for our fashion collections. This role involves conceptualizing patterns, developing textile prints, and ensuring designs align with the brand’s identity and customer preferences. The designer will work closely with the production team to translate creative ideas into beautiful, wearable fabrics.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Development:
   • Create original textile designs and patterns for modest fashion collections.
   • Research trends, fabrics, and color palettes to develop seasonal designs.
   • Ensure designs reflect the brand’s identity and appeal to target customers.
2. Production Coordination:
   • Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are translated accurately into fabrics.
   • Choose and test appropriate fabrics for new collections.
   • Provide input on fabric quality, texture, and functionality for final products.
3. Trend Analysis & Research:
   • Stay updated on global textile and fashion trends.
   • Research innovative techniques and materials for textile creation.
   • Develop mood boards and sketches to communicate ideas effectively.
4. Technical Skills & Documentation:
   • Use software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to create digital designs.
   • Prepare technical specifications for production teams and manufacturers.
   • Maintain a library of textile designs, patterns, and inspiration references.
5. Collaboration:
   • Work closely with the marketing and design teams to create cohesive collections.
   • Provide creative input for campaigns and photo shoots.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.
2. Strong portfolio showcasing textile or fashion design work.
3. Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD tools).
4. Knowledge of fabrics, printing techniques, and dyeing processes.
5. Creative, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
6. Prior experience in fashion or textile design is an advantage.
