Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Nilai for a Testing/New Product Development (NPD) Technician at K-Plastics Industries Sdn Bhd. The NPD Technician will prepare project timelines, conduct meetings, review product concepts, maintain customer relationships, oversee mold making and trials, analyze products, generate improvement reports, arrange resin development, and provide technical support. Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the production plant in the development of new projects and achieving targets.
  • Develop strategies and plans pertaining to:
    • Project timeline preparation.
    • Internal meeting and project briefing.
    • Product concept design reviews internally and externally.
    • Maintain good relationships with customers.
  • Follow up on projects including mold making, trials, and customer approval.
  • Arrange and coordinate mold trials with customers, mold makers, and the plant.
  • Conduct product analysis and prepare detailed reports for customers.
  • Align with customers for sample preparation based on requirements.
  • Generate reports or feedback after trials for mold improvement.
  • Arrange resin and master batch development.
  • Support Sales Accounts on technical issues when meeting with customers.
  • Provide technical support and problem solving on issues related to the projects.
  • Conduct weekly project updates and reports.
  • Create lists of monthly project approvals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in New Product Development is preferred.
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Computer literate (MS Office & Engineering Software).
