Test Engineer

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Establish the test capability and the capacity/productivity model.
2. Able to fully define and characterize the designated process.
3. Define the PCP and improve critical test capability (as defined in the process control plan, product drawings/specification and BOM).
4. Fully understand the necessary controls, equipment, precautions, and setup parameters to meet the product and test specifications.
5. Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process and implement yield improvement projects.
6. Responsible for the test yields of the designated process and establish and implement all appropriate actions to improve the yields.
7. Conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies, and actions to improve both these capabilities. Generate reaction plans for OOC situations.
8. Assist the manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification, and improving operator utilization and productivity as well as inventory reduction.
9. Possess communication skills to interface well with peers and enhance teamwork.
10. Emotional intelligence.
11. Derive continual improvement and use of resources.
12. Perform any other duties as directed by the immediate superior from time to time.
13. Practice Risk-Based Thinking in planning and execution of tasks.
14. Ensure compliance with ISO requirements, company rules & regulations, applicable codes, etc.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum: Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Materials/Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years of working experience in wire bond process, preferably in the area of high-speed devices >1GHz.
3. Experience in MNC manufacturing environment, preferably in metal can/TO can manufacturing line.
4. Solid DOE and SPC experience.
5. Good knowledge of FOL/semiconductor processes.
6. Very good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with people at all levels.
