Territory Account Manager

Description -

What a Territory Account Manager does at HP:
This role is responsible for sharing advanced product information with partners, analyzing sales opportunities, and achieving quotas. The role collaborates with partners on business plans, engages in transactional selling, and manages the sales pipeline, offering insights to partners. The role builds strong partner relationships, monitors performance, and stays updated on industry trends.

  1. Shares information about the organization’s products, services, promotions, and configurations to the partners.
  2. Analyzes sales opportunities and shares relevant sales materials with partners within a designated area of focus, while actively seeking upsell and/or cross-sell opportunities.
  3. Achieves assigned quotas for organization products, services, and software by effectively promoting and selling them.
  4. Collaborates with partners to develop joint business plans, outlining sales goals, marketing activities, and resource allocation in adherence to legal and ethical practices.
  5. Collaborates with a team of sales professionals, engaging in transactional selling activities.
  6. Engages with partners to manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from initial contact to deal closure.
  7. Provides insights and guidance to partner business managers or end-user sales teams regarding partners' capabilities and strengths.
  8. Develops and nurtures strong relationships with stakeholders within partner organizations, fostering trust and collaboration.
  9. Monitors partner performance against targets, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
  10. Stays updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to tailor sales strategies and recommendations to partners.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
  1. Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  2. Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in enterprise selling, channel & alliance, or a related field or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
