Position Objective:

The Internal Audit Assistant Manager will assist the Internal Audit Division in planning, executing, and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory, and compliance-related audits/reviews as per the annual Internal Audit Plan. Ensure audits are conducted within the acceptable standards that meet the Board Audit Committee’s expectations and the regulator’s requirements. Provide leadership in an audit team environment while managing the audit assignments and special reviews.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Plans and executes comprehensive IT audits (system development / application / network / IT operations / system security / Disaster Recovery).
  2. Executes and manages audits to ensure compliance with standard policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and established scope and objectives.
  3. Ensures the adequacy of coverage and scope of audit reviews performed.
  4. Prepares and presents written audit reports and other technical information in a pertinent, concise, and accurate manner and recommends solutions required to minimize exposures.
  5. Observes and achieves the timely issuance of audit reports.
  6. Prepares working papers to ensure that adequate documentation is in place to support the completed reviews.
  7. Guides and promotes the use of computerized audit techniques within the department, and in developing methods for review and analysis of computerized information systems.
  8. Performs follow-ups on audit observations to ensure that management has taken adequate corrective actions.
  9. Participates as an independent observer in the development/implementation of projects.
  10. Executes ad hoc reviews or other assignments as directed by the IT Audit Manager / Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) in a timely manner.

Job Requirement:

  • Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or related field of studies.
  • Professional qualifications, CISA / CISM / CRISC would be an added advantage.
  • Candidates with 3 - 6 years of working experience with at least 2 years working experience in a similar capacity in the financial services industry is a plus.
  • Experience in insurance/finance/banking.
