Technician - Laboratory Operations

Responsibilities:

1. Provide support in conducting testing.
2. Perform accurate data entry for testing conducted.
3. Maintain test equipment functionality, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration coordination.
4. Perform all tasks related to electronics/mechanical works, calibration works, and monitoring works in support of daily operations.
5. Undertake troubleshooting and repairs of machines, auxiliary equipment, projects, installation, and modification works.
6. Utilize SAP PM module system for maintenance scheduling and maintaining proper records of all maintenance works done.
7. Routinely check equipment for signs of fault to prevent or minimize downtime and interruptions.
8. Maintain the inventory.
9. Follow GDP practice.
10. Keep proper and accurate records as outlined by the immediate superior.
11. Ensure proper housekeeping and tidiness of the facilities.
12. Make arrangements for sample disposal once the test order is completed.
13. Assist engineers in developing jigs, fixtures, and equipment setup basic/simple processes and procedures.
14. Support Management/Superior in qualification and verification/validation activities.
15. For senior positions, guide and train co-workers.
16. For senior positions, initiate improvements on the functionality of machines and equipment to increase efficiency.
17. For senior positions, orient or provide guidance to team members but refer most matters to the superior.
18. Ensure laboratory operations and projects comply with specifications and relevant standard regulations, including ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 13485, and FDA quality system requirements.
19. Experience in working with lab equipment such as OGP Smartscope and Tensile Machines (Zwick, Instron) is a plus.
20. Experience in a supervisory role/leadership is a plus.
21. Experience working in product testing, quality review, and investigation of defects.
22. Well-versed in Microsoft Office.
