ABOUT THE JOB
You will play a crucial part in the success of the Company by offering your mechanical and expert knowledge in order to maintain, repair and diagnose Ground Support Equipment (airport equipment such as towing tractors, baggage tractors and a variety of specialist/ unique vehicles used within airports). You will be reporting to the Supervisor/Operation Manager based at Changi Airport.
The suitable candidate will be mechanically skilled and a good problem solver in order to effectively maintain on-site equipment.
WHERE YOU’LL CREATE THE MOST IMPACT
You will be supporting our business by being responsible for:
- Perform and follow all maintenance and/or service schedules (e.g: daily, weekly, monthly services, servicing sheet) as assigned to ensure consistent and satisfactory performance as per TCR Standards.
- Repair, maintain & service Ground Support Equipment (GSE) unit/any related equipment or vehicle as assigned based on TCR standards.
- Perform daily timesheet based on daily requirement. Ensure the form is on time and accurate.
- Attend to unit/any related equipment or vehicle breakdown as assigned.
- Report to leading hand and carry out all required tasks assigned.
- Always wear PPE at workplace.
- Report any accident/near miss to Superior, or to your direct manager as soon as possible.
- Follow all company’s rules & regulations, and legislation where applicable.
- Any other tasks your reporting manager or the Company may assign from time to time.
HOURS OF WORK
Hours of work are from 8.30am to 5.30pm with a lunch break of 1 hour. You will be entitled to rest days every week, off days every alternate applicable day as per duty roster. Your work hours and duty roster may change depending on your duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Has at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive).
- It is a big advantage if you have previous experience with ground support equipment.
- Has excellent knowledge of the automotive sector: working knowledge of the heavy duty diesel (diesel engine, hydraulics, electrical systems), construction equipment or material handling industry.
- Has strong operational understanding of handling requirements.
- Able to work independently.
- Has good interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
- Has good communication skills, both written and verbal in English.
- International contacts working environment. Proficiency in English is a must.
- You are computer literate.
- Able to obtain an airside pass.
- Must have a valid driving license and be willing to travel.
