Technician cum Handyman (Sunway Big Box Retail Park)(6 Months Contract)

1. Attends to repairs and maintenance of all systems and related equipment including but not limited to heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.
2. Carries out general repair, painting, toiletry fitting, and plumbing works according to standard.
3. Troubleshoots and undertakes hands-on repair works for any issues relating to building structure promptly.
4. Carries out meter readings to maintain records for utility costs throughout the building, including those of tenants.
5. Performs general and emergency repairs and maintenance to all plant and equipment within an acceptable timeframe.
6. Conducts regular and documented inspections of plant and equipment as per the checklist and statutory requirements.
7. Ensures Fire and Engineering safety features operate optimally, and familiarizes self with emergency procedures.
8. Monitors energy and water management systems to minimize wastage and costs using utility readings as a reference point.
9. Coordinates repair works with suppliers and/or contractors on site.
10. Ensures that all workshop tools and equipment are well stocked and maintained.
11. Provides support to the Marketing department during festive seasons and setup of PA system, power supplies, displays or decorations.
12. Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.

1. Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, SPM and recognized trade qualification.
2. Competent in writing and communicating in English and Bahasa Melayu. Competence in vernacular languages would be an added advantage.
3. Possesses technical and problem-solving abilities.
4. Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and knowledge in relevant legislation (building codes, fire safety, and country standards).
5. Sound information system knowledge.
6. Fine attention to detail and quality.
7. Demonstrates ability to work in a team.
8. Able to work on shifts, weekends and Public Holidays.
9. Willing to be based in Sunway Big Box Retail Park, Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
