Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team at Cyklop Packaging (M) Sdn Bhd in Bandar Sunway, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our packaging equipment, installation of our machine/project at customer site, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.

What you'll be doing

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on packaging machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery, identify problems, carry out necessary repairs, and prepare a service report
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimise downtime
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
• Provide technical support and training as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and make recommendations to management
• Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment

What we're looking for

• A relevant technical diploma or certification in a field such as mechanical or electrical engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing or packaging industry
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the team
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Willing to travel as needed.
