Technical Sales Representative, Chromatography RoSEA

The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a dedicated and communicative Technical Sales Representative to foster sustainable and profitable relationships with customers and Channel Distributors. This full-time role is primarily based on a home office, with occasional customer visits as required.

The position involves remote selling, focusing on upselling and cross-selling within a designated sales territory and group of allocated customers. The Technical Sales Representative will implement strategies agreed upon with management to drive high growth potential.

What we are looking for:

  • Education: BSc or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Experience: At least 5 years hands-on analytical chemistry laboratory work and LC Method development experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication and commercial acumen.
  • Languages: Fluent in written and verbal English; Mandarin preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in best-in-class selling processes and technology platforms, including CRM tools. Experience in a fast-paced, targeted environment with routine customer and colleague interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and Channel Distributors.
  • Utilize telephone interactions to understand customer requirements and drive sales.
  • Implement agreed-upon strategies to increase sales through cross/upselling.
  • Visit customers as needed to strengthen relationships and close sales.

  • Engage in strategic conversations and align with users and buyers at every stage of their purchase decision process.
  • Develop credibility by challenging clients’ thinking to co-create valuable solutions.
  • Focus on outcomes and leverage the broader Avantor network to support customer projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Marketing to provide valuable insights and address challenges.
  • Consistently develop internal and external relationships.
