Technical Sales Manager – Business Unit Food

In order to strengthen our presence and develop our Food portfolio across the SEA-APAC region, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Technical Sales Manager to join us in Kuala Lumpur.

Skills and Attributes:

• Experience of min. 5 years in the Food industry, preferably selling specialty products rather than commodities.
• Direct and practical sales experience with customers, including new market development.
• International experience is definitely a plus.
• Balanced profile technical/sales.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in creation and execution.
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Food technology. MBA is a plus.
• Language skills: English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin and/or German is definitely a plus.
• Willingness to travel and be “on the road”.

Essential Functions:

• Expansion and strengthening of the existing customer base, maximization of the market penetration in Malaysia and progressively Southeast Asia.
• Identification and acquisition of new, relevant customers in the region.
• Managing our pricing strategy as well as achieving sales targets, penetration of new products, growth, and profitability.
• Technical support of our network of customers and distributors.
• Develop new customers, either directly or with our distributing partners, while supporting the existing customer base.
• Coordinate projects with our Food Technology and Nutrition Center/R&B.
