Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall sales and service activities for Arkema Molecular Sieves business in the Energy segment within Asia Pacific region, including project sales (by assignment).
- Fully responsible for annual sales, volume, and margin budget/target for Energy market in the region.
- Develop and enhance technical service offerings to Energy customers in the region.
- Develop and execute organic and inorganic growth strategy plan, aligning with Business Unit’s directive.
- Manage and strengthen sales and service network for Energy market in the region.
- Cross-business units collaboration on OneArkema platform.
Sales:
- Manage all sales, business development, and marketing activities for Energy market in the region.
- Build and manage sales pipelines to achieve annual objectives. Utilize sales tools including Sales Force for sales and business development activities.
- Manage all key accounts, customers, and prospects.
- Conduct technical product and application presentations – in conferences, seminars, and to direct customers.
- Participate actively in marketing and communication campaigns.
- Collaborate with global technical team and R&D center to exchange market information, contribute to product and application improvement, and new product development.
- Manage an extended network of sales intermediaries in the region, improving overall technical competency of sales network.
- Frequent international travel required for sales and marketing activities.
Technical Support and Service:
- Bring strong technical expertise to the entire sales and service network.
- Manage technical designs, performance reviews, optimization, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Occasional international travel required for on-site technical support.
- Uphold HSE standards in accordance with Arkema group’s directives.
Context and Environment
- Huge growth potential within Asia Pacific especially in Natural Gas, Petrochemical, and Green Energy market segments.
- Dynamic market with evolving business environment, requiring strong customer intimacy and persistent follow-through from initial budgetary proposal to closing of sales. Close watch on competitive landscape is essential.
- Strong global & regional competitors with manufacturing sites in the US, Europe, China, and Japan.
- Strong technical competency, expertise in process applications, and accumulated experience in adsorbent/catalyst are keys to success.
Required Profile
- Above 8 years of professional working experience in commercial and/or technical role within Energy industry, with a minimum of 5 years experience in industrial adsorbent or catalyst applications.
- Academic background: Degree and above in engineering field, chemical engineer will be an added advantage.
- Experience in engineering simulation will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrate perseverance and quality, able to perform under pressure in dynamic and challenging business environment. Strong business acumen is essential.
- Resourceful, strong willingness to take ownership, independent, and highly motivated.
- Good team player with excellent inter-personal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to articulate value propositions and emphasize value-selling.
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, however not mandatory.
