About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales & Tendering Engineer specializing in switchgear and power distribution solutions to drive business growth and manage key client relationships within the APAC region. This role is essential for developing and executing strategic sales plans, engaging with key stakeholders such as utilities, local partners, and industry clients, and ensuring a strong pipeline of new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement country-specific sales strategies to maximize profitability in the switchgear and power distribution sector.
2. Build and maintain long-term relationships with utility companies (TNB, SEB, SESB), industrial clients, and key partners.
3. Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities, focusing on expanding market share.
4. Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to optimize pricing and positioning.
5. Prepare technical proposals, tenders, cost-benefit analyses, and estimates aligned with customer needs.
6. Lead market research efforts and conduct regular client visits to strengthen engagement.
7. Collaborate with marketing, finance, engineering, and other sales teams to align strategies.
8. Maintain and update regional pricing structures to remain competitive in the market.

Who We’re Looking For:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in switchgear, power distribution, or electrical sales, ideally working with utilities like TNB, SEB, SESB.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of medium-voltage (MV) and high-voltage (HV) switchgear, power systems, and tendering processes.

Skills: Strong sales acumen, communication, and negotiation abilities.

Languages: Proficiency in English and Malay (both verbal and written).

Tech-Savvy: Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Adaptability: Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
