  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Certified Electrical Safety Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in technical sales, product management, or application engineering within the electrical safety, energy, or industrial sectors.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC 60947, NFPA 70E) and applications in industrial settings.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and compliance documentation.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Strategic mindset with analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Logistics: Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time.

1. Market Development & Strategic Growth

  • Lead market penetration strategies for key industries:TNB (energy utilities), MOBILITY (EV/electric vehicles), SOLAR (renewable energy), DATA CENTERS (digital infrastructure), and emerging sectors in Malaysia.
  • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
  • Build strategic partnerships with distributors, contractors, and industry associations to expand brand visibility.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and technical workshops to promote thought leadership.

2. Technical Expertise & Product Management

  • Serve as the technical authority for our electrical safety product portfolio (e.g., circuit protection devices, arc-flash mitigation systems, surge protection).
  • Collaborate with global suppliers and Research & Development teams to tailor products to local market requirements and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, MS IEC).
  • Deliver technical training sessions for customers, sales teams, and partners to ensure product competency.
  • Troubleshoot complex customer applications and provide solutions that align with safety compliance.

3. Collaboration & Relationship Management

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Engineering) to develop go-to-market strategies and product roadmaps.
  • Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical queries, supply chain challenges, and certification processes.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key accounts, including utility providers (e.g., TNB), solar EPC firms, and data center developers.

4. Operational Excellence

  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market dynamics to recommend improvements or new product developments.
  • Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) to communicate insights to leadership.
  • Manage travel schedules (domestic and occasional regional) to support customer engagements and market activities.
