Job description

Transcend Innovation Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Presales Consultant who reports directly to the Technical Director. This role combines deep technical knowledge with an understanding of how to address critical business needs through ICT Solutions.

Externally, this role works closely with the Sales team to close deals, supporting the team through the full sales process of solution engineering, including architectural design, solution presentation, standard and customized solution demonstration, customer workshops, proposals development, and collaborating with the sales team to answer RFI/RFP.

Internally, this role works with the Technical team to ensure a smooth transition to post-sales implementation and actively engages with the product team to provide field product feedback.

A successful candidate must maintain in-depth product knowledge of key ICT products, possess excellent communication skills to deliver presentations, and manage customer requirements to ensure the scope of the solution can be delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage potential and existing clients to understand their business, determine technical requirements, and define the scope of work needed.
  • Design and propose IT turnkey solutions based on client requirements with the management team, and present the designed solution to clients.
  • Obtain and collate feedback and information from various stakeholders, including technology partners and project teams, to ensure the technical and financial viability of the proposed turnkey solution.
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of tenders/bids and ensure all services are included in the final price to the clients.
  • Directly responsible for the sales process and ensuring proper closure on sales activities.
  • Ensure all documentation for presales and the tender process are in order.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of presales experience in SME/enterprise ICT Solutions; ideally in Windows and/or cloud-based infrastructure offerings.
  • Good understanding of enterprise sales processes for ICT solutions.
  • Very in-depth knowledge in at least 5 of the following areas: Servers, Storage, Virtualization solutions (Vmware/HyperV), Containerized Architecture, Microsoft Suite of products, Data protection solutions, and Cloud solutions.
  • Ability to plan/design/architect cloud solutions, including private/hybrid/public cloud.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively to customers' mid/senior management.
  • Ability to identify requirements and develop use cases based on customers' business priorities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • A well-established working relationship with renowned vendors and distributors is an added advantage.

[Nice to have]

  • Professional knowledge of terminology, trends, and concepts of ICT security, network, and application products.
  • Sound knowledge of Security, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.
