Job Title: Team Lead - Planning & Reporting

Job Type: Full Time

Location: Sunway Geo Tower, Bandar Sunway

Summary:

The role is part of the Corporate Finance Team as part of APMEA North DRBU, based at our GBS Centre in Malaysia. The Team Lead - Planning & Reporting will prepare and deliver accurate information (Budget, Forecast, and Actual results), in line with Group accounting principles to assure a proper disclosure of company financial information to key end markets.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

1. Serve as an independent contributor for a component of the Record to Report function inclusive of Reconciliations, Month End Close, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management reporting, data integrity, and quality.
2. Perform specific tasks allocated by the line manager in the area of integrity, quality, and reasonableness of the management and statutory reporting process, which includes QPR and QTR reporting exercises.
3. Assistance in preparation of various submissions of the management reporting unit as well as legal entity reporting requirements as per the set SLA's and with the frequency set by the IBPM process.
4. Identify material movements based on pre-established template.
5. Perform analytical review to ensure the movements vs. previous periods or vs. the previous forecast make sense.
6. Liaise with Treasury Team on hedging processes and BATCASH submission.
7. Support to achieving the monthly goals.
8. Ensuring compliance with SOX controls and control navigator and delivering ad hoc reports to support management decision making, where required.

Requirements:

1. Education: Accounting or Accounting & Finance degree (Either one with professional qualification preferred).
2. Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in finance field.
3. Understand the impact of accounting process and practice.
4. Understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge.
5. Detail oriented, analytical, proactive, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
6. Knowledgeable in identifying risk and implementing controls.
7. A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, including BI, BPC & SAP.
