Job Description

Billing

• Be the subject matter expert (SME) of O2C billings function processes of APAC; working closely with Global SMEs on changes and improvements to process or systems relating to billings.
• Liaise with consultants on processing of all types of revenue billing, including adjustments and cancellations.
• Reconciliation of revenue with Business and investigate any discrepancy.
• Create new client/billing entity code in NetSuite/Customer Connect.
• Process any revenue related journals where necessary not limited to intercompany journal relating to revenue transfer.
• Act as central point for all invoicing and debtors' payment queries, update invoices when required.
• Distribute sales invoices to clients when necessary, including local tax invoice.
• Review and ensure all EBNI Sales Orders are billed within 3 months.
• Support Credit Control team in the collection of invoices.
• Understand and ensure that correct GST/VAT/Service Tax is applied on revenue and invoices.
• Any other tasks assigned by the manager.
• Leadership in APAC Billing Operations within the APAC region.
• APAC Country-Specific Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of taxes relevant to the APAC region, including VAT, GST, and WHT.
• Intercompany Billing: Experience in managing intercompany billing processes, particularly in a cross-border context.
• Cross-Country Invoicing: Ability to handle invoicing across multiple countries within the APAC region.
• Comprehensive Billing Process Understanding: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the entire billing cycle, from customer registration in the system to revenue recognition and month-end closing.
• Change Request Management: Liaising with global teams on change requests and guiding their teams through the implementation process.

Accounts Payable (5-10%)

• Provide assistance in Accounts Payables processing as and when required relating to candidate or client reimbursement billing.
• Check invoices related to O2C Billing and provide it to accounts payables in processing supplier invoices.
• Assist in responding to O2C Billing queries related to accounts payable.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist annual audit and tax audit.
• Liaise with HSBC as and when required (regarding client payment and receipt).
• Provide assistance to the Finance Manager/Accountant as required.

The Successful Applicant

• Accounts Receivables & Billing experience (MUST HAVE).
• • Experience in Double entry (MUST HAVE)
  • Strong understanding of taxes relevant to the APAC region, including VAT, GST, and WHT.
  • Intercompany Billing: Experience in managing intercompany billing processes, particularly in a cross-border context.
  • Cross-Country Invoicing: Ability to handle invoicing across multiple countries within the APAC region.
  • Comprehensive Billing Process Understanding: Demonstrate a clear understanding of the entire billing cycle, from customer registration in the system to revenue recognition and month-end closing.
  • Change Request Management: Liaising with global teams on change requests and guiding their teams through the implementation process.
• Regional experience in APAC. (MUST HAVE).
• Ideally previous experience in Shared Services (MUST HAVE).
• Graduate with Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration or studying towards an undergraduate degree in Accounting.
• Fluency in English and an additional language is a plus (Mandarin, Bahasa,… etc.)
