About the Role

Are you passionate about teaching robotics and coding in an engaging and inspiring way? Do you enjoy empowering educators to create impactful lessons?

We are seeking a Teacher/Tutor for Coding (Fresh Graduates Welcome; Training Provided) to join our team. In this role, you will teach, mentor, and inspire students and teachers in coding and robotics, helping them develop valuable skills for the future.

Responsibilities

Class Facilitation

• Create an inclusive and welcoming classroom environment.
• Deliver engaging lessons using hands-on activities and interactive discussions.
• Provide support to students, helping them overcome challenges and fostering a positive learning experience.

Activity Coordination

• Plan and organize co-curricular coding and robotics activities to enhance learning.
• Lead group projects and coding challenges that promote teamwork and critical thinking.

Performance Reporting

• Monitor students’ progress and prepare detailed performance reports for schools.
• Highlight achievements, identify improvement areas, and recommend strategies for growth.

Communication and Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between Walnut Education, schools, and parents, sharing updates on students’ learning journey.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure seamless program implementation.

Equipment and Materials Management

• Manage and maintain coding and robotics equipment and resources.
• Ensure all tools and materials are in excellent working condition for lessons and activities.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Fresh graduates or experienced teachers with a strong passion for teaching elementary to intermediate coding and robotics are welcome to apply—comprehensive training will be provided for those without experience in coding or robotics.
• Is empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about using gamified learning to spark curiosity and creativity in students.
• Is adaptable and eager to learn, with full access to training and resources provided by Walnut Education.
• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate learners of varying skill levels.
• Preferred- A plus: Experience coaching robotics or STEM activities for primary school students or teachers.
• Required: Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
