About the Role

A clear focus on learning is the foundation stone of the BXCL teacher standards, which guide and inform our approach to our students’ learning and development across each age range. The successful applicant will teach Bahasa Malaysia across the primary and secondary age range. We are inviting applications from teachers who are fully aligned with our ethos and demonstrate the following:

• Know their students as people and how they learn: BXCL teachers have detailed knowledge of the developmental characteristics and learning needs of the students they teach, as well as their personalities.
• Plan and deliver excellent learning and teaching: BXCL teachers have up-to-date knowledge of their respective curricula and set challenging learning goals.
• Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning and progress: BXCL teachers are skilled and effective users of assessment for supporting and developing learning.

Post-holder Qualifications, Experience

The successful candidate requirement:

1. QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
   • University educated with an Honours Degree
   • Recognised teaching qualification
   • Evidence of ongoing professional development
2. KNOWLEDGE
   • In-depth knowledge and understanding of EAL (English as an Additional Language) provision
   • Current educational issues and up-to-date curriculum developments
   • Application of effective learning and teaching strategies that attain high levels of student achievement in Year 1 to Year 8.
