Job role
Commitment to the quality and integrity of Mazars tax methodology and thorough quality control that is applied to every client engagement. To carry the Mazars values, leadership, and maintain productive relationships with clients, other team members, and the relevant authorities.
Key responsibilities
- Management of Tax Compliance Assignments.
- Perform or manage advisory and tax planning assignments.
- Coach and guide team members and assistants on tax projects.
- Engagement Monitoring – Manage, review, and ensure compliance with tax and regulation procedures.
- Perform technical and/or marketing functions.
- Build close rapport with clients and relevant authorities.
- Involve in business development.
- Any other assignments and tasks from the superior deemed appropriate and relevant.
Desired skills & experience
- Minimum Degree in Finance / Accounting or any relevant field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably from a professional services firm environment.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian Tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong drive to excel professionally.
- Demonstrated success in adapting to a professional work environment.
- Team player and able to lead the team in a fast-moving and deadline-driven environment.
- Able to provide useful and timely feedback to staff and keep management informed of progress and issues.
- Driven to meet client expectations and reliable in delivering results.
- Prefer full or partial membership in any relevant professional bodies.
- Excellent communication and people management/development skills.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Functional knowledge and skills in using Microsoft applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
