Tax assistant

We are an established Professional Firm located in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur (Opposite One Utama).

Job Requirements:

1. Candidates are required to possess either a professional qualification or finalist of professional qualification (MICPA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CTIM), or a degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
3. Fresh graduates or those with less than 1 year full-time working experience are welcome to apply.
4. Must be computer literate; working knowledge in easytax software is an advantage.
5. Multi-tasking and being able to work under pressure.
6. Teamwork with the ability to meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills in both oral and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
8. Proficiency in oral communication skills in Mandarin will be an advantage.
9. Positive attitude, analytical, self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
10. Good time management, planning, and organizing skills.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in tax compliance works - preparation and submission of tax returns.
2. Meeting, liaison, and correspondence with clients and the Inland Revenue Board.
3. To handle the estimation of tax payable and revision of tax estimate and ensure timely submission of Form CP204 & Form CP204A.
4. To follow up with clients on completion of assignments and keep track of relevant deadlines.
5. Inform clients of documents received from IRB.
6. Call and follow up on tax payments.
7. Manage the filing of tax documents into the tax files in a timely and organized manner.
8. Discuss and update the seniors and/or managers on tax assignments.
