Job description

The candidate will lead the overall tax accounting functions within the shared service center.

Description

  • Identify and analyze future needs, legal requirements, and design organizational structures, processes, and SAP solutions to develop a Tax Core Model that meets both legal and business requirements.
  • Manage major evolution requests by creating and presenting a Gap Sheet to the Arbitration Committee.
  • Actively contribute to process design, organize data, and analyze the pros and cons of each alternative solution based on new tax regulations and system optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with other domains and BPOs to design integrated tax flows.
  • Create and document detailed end-to-end tax processes.
  • Define procedures for periodic integrity verification of tax processes (linked with SD/MM processes).
  • Perform necessary tax tests to validate the functional efficiency of the system (new processes, upgrades, rollouts).

Conduct Gap Analysis Workshops:

  • Collect any local tax or business gaps and organize workshops to design compliant solutions in coordination with the Core Team.

Promote Tax Organizational Core Model to clarify roles and responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed organizational impact analysis and assist local management in building action plans to mitigate risks.
  • Define organizational restrictions to be applied to derived functional business roles.
  • Maintain and validate the user role matrix in alignment with internal control clearances.

Build Training Plan and Train Key Users:

  • Address new declarations (JPK, SAF-T, e-invoicing, e-reporting, Intrastat, Pillar 2, etc.).
  • Provide training on VAT algorithms.

Develop Test Plans and Validate Completeness of Tax Process Tests:

  • Execute cycle tests and assist key users in User Acceptance Testing (UAT); analyze defects and collaborate with the Core Team to resolve issues.
  • Adapt and follow the Cutover Plan based on legacy data sources and assist key users in data conversion.

Create, Maintain, and Release Tax Process Documentation:

  • Develop work instructions with a process-oriented approach.
  • Maintain global organizational master data (e.g., VAT codes) and ensure necessary data reallocation to comply with new requirements.
  • Maintain Business Roles (authorization) according to the Organizational Core Model and ensure compliance with Group's internal control policy (SOD, etc.).
  • Closely monitor activity progress and alert the team of any delays in delivery.

Create and Maintain an E-Learning Program:

  • Support rollout, onboarding of newcomers, and knowledge improvement.
  • Organize, plan, and deliver training sessions.

Manage System Enhancements:

  • Follow up on system enhancement progress, test, and approve releases in the production system.
  • Organize feedback sessions with tax managers to identify new requirements, improve efficiency, and share best practices.

Identify System Misuse:

  • Detect any misuse of the system affecting data accuracy or deadlines and define action plans for improvement.

Role & Authorization:

  • Design organizational restrictions for local users, request business role derivation, define access request approval workflows, and organize periodic role & authorization reviews.

Profile

Business degree with 5-10 years of experience in finance.

Skills and Expertise: Strong interest in IT systems, solid knowledge of taxes, finance, and SAP. Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Strong analytical skills, coaching abilities, leadership in teamwork, and a proven track record in promoting change management.

Ability to navigate changes in business rules, tax compliance regulations, and organizational efficiency.

Skilled in managing diverse user groups, entities, business processes, and prioritizing and reconciling competing requirements.
