Job Title: IT Support Specialist

Company: Composite Technology Research Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CTRM) was incorporated on 20 November 1990 with Ministry of Finance Incorporated as its principal shareholder. CTRM is entrusted with a strategic role to develop high technology based industry, namely the Aerospace and Composites industries.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems, Networking, Systems Engineering, or any related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of work experience in IT support or a related field.
3. Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
4. Proficiency in all versions of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Professional Suites, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 to 2022, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, WINS, CISCO LAN/WAN technologies, and Veeam Backup software.

Responsibilities:

1. Setup, administer and maintain Windows Server operating system, services, and application processes.
2. Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
3. Troubleshoot networking and connection issues to ensure seamless connectivity, while maintaining server availability, backups, and compliance with redundancy strategies.
4. Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, including host, server, VM, storage, cloud, and Office 365, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and procedures.
5. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
6. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for IT issues, ensuring prompt resolution of user problems.
7. Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement fixes.
8. Partner and collaborate with vendors and IT stakeholders for deployment of technology that supports business requirements and troubleshooting to resolve IT technical issues.
9. Upgrade servers and systems by working with vendors and service providers; develop, test, evaluate, and install enhancements and new software, including patches and upgrades regularly.
10. Review system and application logs to identify and resolve issues.
11. Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
