Job description

Job Summary

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in optimizing supply chain operations, reducing costs, and improving performance across the entire supply chain network. This position involves strategic planning, process optimization, supplier management, and risk mitigation to achieve operational excellence and meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, sales, finance) to align supply chain activities with demand forecasts and business objectives.
  3. Manage supplier relationships and vendor contracts, negotiating pricing, terms, and service agreements.
  4. Source and evaluate suppliers, conduct audits and performance reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance.
  5. Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics (inventory turnover, lead time, on-time delivery, etc.) and implement improvements.
  6. Optimize inventory management through effective demand planning, stock control, and replenishment strategies.
  7. Coordinate transportation and logistics, including freight forwarding, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery.
  8. Implement risk management strategies to address potential disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
  9. Recommend and evaluate supply chain technologies (ERP, WMS, TMS) to improve operational visibility and efficiency.
  10. Lead cross-functional projects, process improvements, and system implementations.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including import/export laws and customs procedures.
  12. Mentor and lead supply chain staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  13. Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improvements.
  14. Report supply chain performance and initiatives to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
  15. Promote sustainability and ethical sourcing practices within the supply chain.

Requirements And Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or certifications (CSCP, CPIM) are a plus.
  2. Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, or operations, with a track record of driving improvements.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable insights.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  5. Strategic thinker with a long-term vision and ability to execute plans effectively.
  6. Proficient in ERP, WMS, TMS, and other supply chain management tools.
  7. In-depth understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, procurement, and logistics.
  8. Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  9. Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  10. Strong commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
