About the role
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for leading and directing the integrated supply chain activities for Kerry Penang. The role will provide strategic direction across each element of the Supply Chain to ensure it is operating in an effective and coordinated manner. This will allow the pursuit of efficiency improvements and the achievement of performance targets in line with Kerry’s business objectives which will enhance customer delivery performance and our market position.
Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager MYSG
Key responsibilities
Manage/coordinate demand planning, supply planning, and materials planning activities for the Kerry Penang Site
Ensure the development & implementation of efficient, customer focused Supply Chain policies and processes to support service, cost and inventory targets
Ensure OTIF targets are achieved at optimal cost through efficient and effective management of the supply chain including liaison with other internal functions, customers and suppliers as required
Manage inventory to optimum levels to support customer demand and achieve targeted inventory days of supply
Ensure efficient capacity planning and production scheduling that will meet customer demand at least cost
Monitor and ensure supply planning and materials planning activities are conducted in a timely manner to support customer demand/production schedule required dates
Analyse reports, data and performance of supply chain and ensure continuous improvement initiatives are in place
Deliver Kerry continuous improvement targets
Communicate and cooperate with suppliers for all matters related to supply chain (supply demand, schedule shipment, importation etc)
Manage and coordinate Supply Chain projects to successful outcomes
Ensure on time, efficient commercialisation of new products into the business in conjunction with other functions
Implement, monitor and improve systems and work procedures in supply chain in order to achieve high effectiveness, efficiency and productivity
Training, talent development and coaching of the supply chain team in order to achieve SC objectives and build a cohesive team of supply chain professionals
Qualifications and skills
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Business/Commerce
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role with at least 5 years’ experience in a leadership role
Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing environment – Food / Ingredients manufacturing preferred but not essential
Strong track record in implementing and managing an S&OP process
Demonstrated exposure to SAP essential
Track record of being able to identify and drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives to develop a customer focussed, best practice division
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
