Job Purpose

The Subject Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a KSSM and secondary learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Work is performed under the supervision of the Principal.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• To teach full-time the subjects indicated above and provide relief teaching when needed.
• Engaging young minds and helping them explore the world.
• Nurturing children and teenagers to grow holistically.
• Guiding students to explore academic content and apply it in the real world.
• Prepare test papers and revision papers to prepare students for their exams.
• Managing students in a class.
• Planning and executing CCA programmes & activities.
• Creating lesson plans in compliance with the school curriculum, administering homework and school projects, grading the work, and giving appropriate feedback to the students.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job and Person Specification

Essential Specification (Must-have)

• Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Education / Teaching or equivalent.
• Strong commitment and passion for education and concern for students’ welfare.
• PC literate and able to use multimedia resources in the classroom.
• Highly motivated, full of initiative, disciplined, and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in written and verbal English and BM.
• Excellent Subject knowledge in the above listed subjects.

Desirable Specification (Added advantage)

• Relevant teaching certification (e.g., CICTL, CIDTL, PGCE).
• At least two (2) years of teaching experience in the relevant field in an International or Private School.
• Ability to show evidence of further professional development.
• Ability to teach outside of specialist area.
• Ability to use and understand assessment data.
