Post Title: STUDENT RECRUITMENT ASSISTANT MANAGER (CENTRAL & NORTHERN REGIONS)

Reports to: HEAD OF MARKETING, RECRUITMENT AND ADMISSIONS

Purpose

As a member of the student recruitment team, the individual is responsible for meeting student recruitment targets and actively participating in a range of student recruitment-related activities.

The role is an external-facing one. There is frequent travel within Malaysia. The individual must be willing to work beyond normal working hours and during weekends where required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit students and be responsible for meeting recruitment targets.
• Participate in a range of student recruitment events and activities including education fairs, roadshows and school visits.
• Handle enquiries and counsel potential students and their parents via face-to-face, phone, email and other means.
• Be responsible for meeting assigned recruitment targets.
• Where required, build win-win relationships with agents, school counsellors and other stakeholders.

Head of Marketing, Recruitment or Admissions.

Contact

There will be regular contact with external stakeholders such as prospective students, parents, schools and agents. There will be frequent internal contact with the academic team.

Terms and Conditions

The post is initially on a two-year contract (renewable subject to satisfactory performance) and this is a home-based position.

CRITERIA

Skills Required

• Excellent communication skills, face-to-face, telephonic and email.
• Strong personal selling and persuasion skills.
• Ability to converse in English, Mandarin and BM.
• Degree in Marketing, Business or any related course.

Knowledge

• Business Development
• At least 2 years in a student recruitment, marketing or related role in the higher education sector.

Disposition

• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Results and outcome driven.
• Enjoys meeting new people.
• Willing to travel.
• Willing to work beyond normal working hours and weekends as required.

Other

• Well-organised.
• Responsive to others.
