What will you do?

In this position you will play an integral part of supporting the Civil & Structure division and its success whilst establishing best of Structural Engineering practices.

We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

1. Analysis, Design & Tools:
2. Knowledge of engineering software and their limitations including STAADPRO, TEDDS and other relevant analysis and design software i.e. STAADPRO foundation, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE etc.
3. Knowledge of analysis sequence. Effective structural configuration and type of foundation, able to configure structural framing based on project requirements, structural Modelling – To represent correct stiffness and boundary conditions, load modelling – as per client’s requirements, analysis and code check as project requirements and analysis, Design & Tools.
4. Design basis, codes & specifications. Possess knowledge of codes, standards & client’s specifications and possess good knowledge of the current industry practices for architectural works, reinforced concrete works, structural steelworks, foundation works and infrastructure/Underground works.
5. Internal and external interfaces. Take initiative in managing assigned responsibilities proactively. Ensure accountability for deadlines, quality of work and timely follow-ups.
6. Conceptual & Detailed design. Good understanding and perform conceptual design for architectural, foundation & structural works and to perform detailed design as required by project and to produce reports/drawings at required project datelines & qualities.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:

• Possess recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Structural or equivalent.
• Graduate Engineer registered with BEM.
• Preferably with 2 to 3 years’ experience in a technical position in an engineering consulting firm, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English.
