Doka is currently looking for a Structural Engineer who will be responsible for all types of static and structural calculations for formwork products at the Innovation Hub Asia. Reporting to the Head of Innovation Hub Asia, this position requires an enthusiastic individual who understands the formwork and scaffolding industry and can support all engineers at the Innovation Hub Asia with structural requests.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the design office in the Innovation Hub Asia for structural requests.
Supporting in finding optimized design solutions and advising our designers for cost-saving modifications by considering factors like feasibility, economics, and strength.
Creating verifiable structural analyses for product design and coordinating with HQ.
Proactively collaborating in product development and supporting the design office in the Innovation Hub Asia for structural checks during formwork product development.
Developing structural tools for design usage charts for different solutions.
Creating calculation diagrams and tools for the use of formwork products.
Carrying out variant studies in the course of product development.
Performing internal and external static trainings.
Dimensioning steel and wood constructions, and anchoring in reinforced concrete.
Preparing structural design reports, documenting your design calculations, and explaining your designs to the project team.
Providing technical advice on safe designs and constructions.
Ensuring all designs comply with regulatory and industry standards.
Qualifications
We are looking for a creative and analytical thinker who shows an accurate and structured way of working and possesses the ability to handle projects independently. In addition, we look for the following qualifications:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Steel Construction, or related disciplines.
Minimum five years of professional experience in structural engineering/statics.
Proficient in RStab, Stadpro, ANSYS, and AutoCAD (2D/3D).
Familiar with different building materials such as steel, wood, concrete, etc.
Knowledge of European and local standards.
Strong team player with flexibility.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent proficiency in English; proficiency in any local Asian language is an advantage.
