Job description

As the Store Manager, you will directly report to the Retail Director. You will lead and develop the store's business strategically, fostering a culture of excellence in sales, client experience, and loyalty. You will effectively communicate the Maison's goals, vision, and strategies, inspiring and motivating your team through strong leadership. In collaboration with the Retail Director and other departments, you will proactively identify areas for improvement and implement measures to maximize sales and elevate the overall performance of the store. You will also embody the Maison's culture and values, playing an active role in talent recruitment, management, and development.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development

  1. Define and implement the store's commercial strategy to achieve and exceed sales targets while maximizing profitability (P&L). This includes setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure success.
  2. Manage and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify growth opportunities, areas for improvement, and implement corrective action plans to enhance overall store performance.
  3. Possess a deep understanding of CELINE products, their history, and craftsmanship, enabling passionate and expert presentation to clients, enhancing the customer experience, and driving sales.
  4. Leverage all available resources, including Visual Merchandising, Merchandising, Training, Client Management, Events, to maximize product categories and foster synergy across the Maison's offerings.
  5. Foster a results-oriented culture within the team, promoting operational excellence and the achievement of individual and collective goals through motivation, recognition, and ongoing feedback.
  6. Negotiate with external stakeholders to plan and execute events that align with the Maison's strategies and elevate brand presence.
Leadership and Team Development

  1. Embody the Maison and inspire the team through leading by example and strong presence on the shop floor.
  2. Identify and attract top talent to the Maison. Partner with the Retail Director and HR to address any team-related matter. Provide coaching to enhance individual and team performance.
  3. Nurture a pipeline of future leaders by identifying and developing high-potential individuals within the team through individual development plans.
  4. Create a positive and inclusive work environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. Encourage open communication, mutual respect, and a shared sense of purpose.
  5. Provide advice, instruction, coaching and supervision to Team Manager, Stock’s team and support their career development.
  6. Empower the team to deliver exceptional client experiences by providing ongoing coaching, support, and ensuring that CELINE's high standards are consistently met.
  7. Ensure that 100% of the team completes all required training modules on the CELINE e-learning platform.
Client Development

  1. Develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and increase client acquisition.
  2. Ensure the team delivers personalized and memorable client experiences by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations, and building genuine emotional connections with each client.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, using clienteling tools to offer personalized services, exclusive experiences, and tailored product recommendations.
  4. Actively seek and act upon performance feedback and client insights to refine the client journey and exceed expectations at every touchpoint.
  5. Handle, when necessary, complaints from clients.
Operations Excellence

  1. Ensure that all processes are compliant with the legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  2. Solve problems and communicate issues to resolve to the office to achieve effective and productive store operations.
  3. Ensure appropriate staffing depending on time and traffic.
  4. Ensure safety of the store and its employees.
  5. Supervise the operations manager and ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient stock management by adhering to internal procedures and optimizing product turnover.
  6. Oversee all administrative and logistical operations of the store, ensuring adherence to internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Implement efficient processes to enhance efficiency.
Profile

KEY FOR SUCCESS Education: Business School, University or “equivalent experience” Experience: Retail experience required +5 years of experience in management within luxury/fashion business Competencies: Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams and managing managers. Strong business expertise with a track record of achieving results and exceeding targets. In-depth understanding of retail KPIs and ability to analyze business performance to drive strategic decision-making. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of CELINE's products, heritage, and brand identity. Client-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and building lasting relationships. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Adaptability and flexibility to meet the demands of a dynamic retail environment.

  1. Ensure the consistent and impeccable presentation of the CELINE brand image in all aspects of the store, from visual merchandising and product displays to staff appearance and attitude. Maintain the highest standards of luxury and sophistication.
