Store Manager - Grocery Retail

We are seeking a Store Manager for a retail company located in the Cayman Islands.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Oversee gross profit, sales budgets, payroll, overall store expenses, and the achievement of financial goals.
2. Plan and manage budgets concerning profit and loss.
3. Establish and track store objectives aimed at maximizing profitability and reaching sales targets.
4. Train and develop assistant store managers in all aspects of store operations and leadership skills.
5. Lead the training and development efforts for managers, supervisors, and staff.
6. Inspire and direct the team to enhance profitability, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
7. Optimize the use of shelf space and merchandise to boost sales and profits.
8. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on merchandising, pricing, and inventory control to drive sales and productivity.
9. Communicate and deploy innovative marketing strategies.
10. Ensure accurate recordkeeping and timely submission of necessary reports.
11. Review quarterly inventory results conducted by external auditors.
12. Oversee recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluations, and employee development in accordance with company policies and procedures.
13. Manage and enforce compliance with company health and safety standards, including sanitation, risk management, and asset management protocols.
14. Assist in the creation, implementation, and revision of departmental policy and procedure manuals.
15. Exhibit leadership and decision-making skills that align with company expectations and standards.

Requirements:

1. Proficiency in reading, understanding, writing, and speaking English.
2. Intermediate math skills and the ability to follow company guidelines.
3. Basic computer skills are essential.
4. Understanding of business fundamentals is required.
5. Strong communication abilities.
6. Capable of working independently and being self-motivated.
7. Possess positive interpersonal skills.
8. Flexibility to work various hours/days as needed by the store or department.
9. Initiative to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
10. Effective time management skills.
11. Strong management and leadership capabilities.
12. Ability to make decisions and provide guidance.
13. Willingness to learn about P&L reports and company guidelines.
14. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
15. Capability to withstand varying temperatures.
16. A successful track record of 10-15 years in managerial roles within warehouse or retail operations, or related fields.
