Steel Structure Quality Surveyor QS

As a Steel Structure Quality Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for Leong Premier Engineering Sdn Bhd's steel structure projects located in Kulai, Johor. This full-time position is responsible for inspecting and monitoring the fabrication and installation of steel structures to guarantee they comply with engineering specifications and safety regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Conduct regular on-site inspections of steel structure fabrication and installation processes
2. Verify that materials, workmanship, and construction methods adhere to design drawings and industry standards
3. Identify and resolve any non-conformities or quality issues in a timely manner
4. Maintain detailed records and documentation of quality control activities
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality concerns
6. Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 1 years of experience as a Quality Surveyor or Quality Control Inspector in the civil/structural engineering industry
2. Thorough understanding of steel structure fabrication and installation processes
3. Strong knowledge of construction codes, standards, and quality assurance/quality control principles
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and test reports
5. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
7. Willingness to work on-site and adhere to strict safety protocols
