Job Responsibilities

1. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Nurse is a State Registered Nurse (SRN) that reports directly to the Manager of Clinical Services and is responsible for patient care and services in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Hybrid OT, and Cardiac Operating Room.
2. Assist in the performance of all diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology Laboratory, and Hybrid Operating Theatre.
3. Assist the Manager of Clinical Services in the provision of safe clinical and qualitative care and services that will help develop the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Hybrid OT as a Centre of Excellence.
4. Ensure that safe and effective patient service is delivered at all times in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in line with agreed standards, policies, and procedures set by CVSKL.
5. Be collectively responsible and accountable for the overall management of services, education, professional development, evidence-based practices, administration, and nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
6. The Perioperative Nurse is a State Registered Nurse (SRN) that reports directly to the Assistant Manager of Operating Theatre and is responsible for patient care and services in the Cardiac Operating Rooms and Hybrid OT.
7. Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in the Operating Theatre Complex, performing cross-functional nursing roles such as scrub, circulating, anaesthetic, or recovery room nurse to apply best practices and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
8. Assist the Manager of Operating Theatre in the provision of safe clinical and qualitative care and services that will help develop the Operating Theatre as a Centre of Excellence.
9. Be collectively responsible and accountable for the overall management of services, education, professional development, evidence-based practices, administration, and peri-operative nursing care in the Operating Theatre.
10. Be on-call for emergency cases in the Operating Theatre and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory after normal operation hours on a rotation basis.

Requirements

1. Proven experience and certification as a registered nurse.
2. Valid nursing license and hospital's nurse background preferred.
3. Minimum 3 years experience.
4. Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.
5. In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times.
