Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a European global technology company that designs and manufactures connectivity and sensor solutions. The company designs and manufactures advanced connectivity solutions that enable the transmission of power, data, and signal in some of the world's most demanding applications. They are currently seeking a Staff R&D /Product DVL Engineer for the Antenna Product Design Department to build and lead technical advancement focusing on cutting edge internal and external antenna design.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive to bring best-in-class innovative antenna system solutions products for various exciting applications e.g. IoT devices, infrastructure, or consumer products using computer simulation and experimental techniques.
Work and lead multiple team members towards innovative antenna solutions and deliver to market on time with dialed-in cost.
Contribute and influence on BU level technology and product decisions.
Provide guidance and complex subject matter training to less experienced co-workers, internal or external of the department.
Mentor and coach other engineers in BU with state-of-the-art antenna technology.
Assist the team in the design implementation and validation of antenna systems across the life-cycle from initial concept stage to mass production.
Analyze and review design requirements with close collaboration with customers, product managers, and sales.
Collaborate with the NPI team to develop RF product design and define the optimum technology for manufacturability to meet customer requirements.
Proactively involve in procedure optimization/improvement in RF design flow for time to market.
Perform research for state-of-the-art antennas via trade and professional journals to determine the next generation technology platform.
Requirements:
M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Solid understanding of antenna theory, product, application, and RF/antenna analysis projects.
8+ years of experience in antenna design with about 2 years of RF circuit design for RF-related electronics.
Vast experience with antenna test and measurement including VNA, spectrum analyzer, PIM testing, anechoic chamber, and active measurement (TRP/TIS).
Expert level proficiency with 3D EM simulation software (HFSS or CST) and RF Circuit (ADS or AWR).
Solid understanding of electromagnetic and antenna theory. Use the first principles approach to resolve deep technical challenges to unlock innovation.
Hands-on experience with bench design work to validate simulations and experience with anechoic chamber testing.
Ability to influence mechanical engineering, I.D., product management, operations, PCB design, and PJM with a data-driven approach.
Assess risk and compliance across areas of accountability.
Experience in LTE/GNSS/Wi-Fi/BT/NFC/UWB/mm-Wave among other protocols.
Crisp communication skills to present to leadership and stakeholders as needed.
