Staff Nurse /Staff Nurse (Operation Theatre)

Responsibilities:

• Establish a good workflow for the surgery day and attending to the surgery patients.
• Assist Nursing Manager in daily surgery cases.
• Coordinate with colleagues from other departments to ensure the smooth-running surgery day.
• Consistently strive to provide the best patient experience, thereby increasing patient satisfaction.
• Manage the administrative aspects of the surgery day, including dispensing and surgery collection.
• Check and identify the correct patient for the correct surgery, noting consent, site of operation, allergies, etc.
• Ensure all documentation is completed properly, especially the Operating notes. Consent forms must be signed by the patient and the attending doctor.
• Maintain the operation theatre and ensure that sterile equipment and instruments are always in the most sterile state.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety for patients in the operation theatre complex and at the clinic. Manage the inventory related to medical supplies.
• Assist and communicate with your supervisor regarding operation theatre-related administrative work.
• Learn to perform the duties of an eye operating theatre nurse and other related duties required in an eye clinic.
