Staff Nurse/ Senior Staff Nurse (OT/AU)

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Head of Department in ensuring smooth operations of the Nursing & Clinical Team.
2. Assist the Head of Department in the scheduling of IVF nurses, maintenance and review of SOP, and monitoring of inventory supplies.
3. Ensure that patients’ case-notes and investigations reports are ready before the start of clinic sessions as well as prepare listings of patients for elective procedures.
4. Assist doctors from various disciplines to perform minor clinical.
5. Assist doctors and provide nursing care to patients during physical examination according to patients’ conditions and ensuring patients’ safety at all times.
6. Provide nursing care and screening programmes for women, including patient counselling.
7. Provide financial counselling and education on operation and treatment procedures.
8. Assist in observing and reporting patients' condition and progress during their recovery from minor procedures.
9. Establish and maintain confidentiality of patients’ medical records at all times.
10. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
11. Dispense medication according to doctor’s orders.
12. Monitor, maintain and replace clinic’s equipment, instruments, inventories and supplies.
13. Prepare and pack surgical items/instruments for autoclaving.
14. Assist in billing when needed.
15. Ensure nursing care is delivered according to established standards.
16. Participate in health promotion and education activities to promote and improve the health of patients and the community.
17. Order medicine and other supplies.
18. Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years nursing experience in clinical settings
2. At least a Diploma in Nursing or equivalent (recognised by Malaysia Nursing Board)
3. Prior IVF experience will be advantageous
4. Enjoy interaction with people
5. Ability to work both independently and in a team
