Staff Engineer (Typescript, React, React Native, Node.js)

We are currently expanding and looking for product-oriented Staff Engineers (Fullstack) who have a passion for building products that provide seamless customer experience, which includes onboarding, retention, and engagement. You will work to design, build, and support many of the core systems powering StashAway software and user experience, from our marketing site to our cash flow and transaction libraries, to our financial computation engine. Being part of StashAway's Engineering team, you will build end-to-end product features that you are confident deliver delightful user experiences. You will need to leverage the entire technology stack to realize these goals and will be part of a team that is constantly tackling difficult questions of scale, architecture, and interaction. Your contribution to a dynamic Engineering team allows you to be exposed to a variety of concepts and technologies. You will enjoy being able to have a direct impact on StashAway's internationalization plans and the development of features and new investment products.

Responsibilities

1. Work across the stack to build efficient, scalable, and robust solutions for clients using Typescript, Go, React/React Native, Node.js, and other related technologies.
2. Design and implement solutions to handle high levels of traffic, in a rapidly scaling environment.
3. Write testable, clean, efficient code that can be confidently released in production.
4. Code in a collaborative, agile environment alongside developers, designers, and product managers.
5. Be part of a team that enables faster internationalization and the development of new investment products.

Requirements

Must-haves

1. You have 5+ years of experience in building web/mobile applications, preferably with Typescript/React, with Node.js.
2. Strong background in data structures and algorithms.
3. Familiar with agile processes, testing, and continuous integration.
4. Eager and willing to learn new things, staying up to date with the latest technologies, and expanding your base skill sets to propose new approaches to your work.
5. Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Good-to-haves

1. Past work experience working on a B2C product and some degree of interest in finance/investment products.
2. Hands-on experience with Python/Golang (e.g., personal side projects).
