We’re currently looking for a high-caliber professional to join our team as Sr Vice President, Fund Accounting Site Head - Hybrid (Internal Job Title: Fund Accounting Group Manager - C14) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this role, you’re expected to:

The Fund Accounting Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for managing a team or department, driving a variety of fund valuation activities in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to ensure the seamless delivery of activities associated with Net Asset Valuations (NAV's).

Responsibilities:

1. Manage fund accounting operations at a site or functional level, including people managers, and collaborate across departments to develop cost-effective solutions that meet client expectations.
2. Assess new business viability against existing capabilities and make appropriate recommendations.
3. Assist and encourage employee career progression through defined career paths, management processes, training, and Professional Development Plans (PDPs).
4. Evaluate risk and controls, ensure compliance to established controls, and assess operational impacts of changes in legislation.
5. Lead strategic planning with business units and prioritize business development requirements.
6. Monitor Profit and Loss (P&L), expense management, budget, and planning.
7. Set and achieve established department goals during operations, serving as a point of escalation for complex issues.
8. Participate in department and industry initiatives, supporting corporate governance and ethics.
9. Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

Qualifications:

1. 10+ years of relevant experience.
2. Chartered Accountant / CFA / MBA.
3. Experience within financial markets, fund accounting, and fund administration.
4. Experience in financial services, client management, project management, strategic management, and operational management.
5. Experience with people management and working with multiple stakeholders.
6. Advanced knowledge of accounting concepts, financial services, and global financial markets.
7. Ability to manage client relationships effectively.
8. Demonstrated talent assessment and management skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred.
